Veery — Copyright and Content Policy

Effective date: 2026-09-04 Version: 1.1

What Veery is

Veery is a music player. It plays files that are already on your computer, and it plays streams that third-party services make publicly available through their own official interfaces.

What Veery is not

Veery is not a way to obtain music, and it is deliberately not built to be one:

Your responsibility

You are responsible for having the right to whatever you play, and for whatever you upload to Veery Sync. Storing your own music in your own locker is your business; using it to stockpile material you have no right to is not something we can detect, and it stays your responsibility either way.

Ripping a CD you own, playing files you bought, keeping your own recordings in your own locker: fine, and none of our business. Loading a folder of music you do not have the right to: your problem, not something Veery can or does check.

Using Veery does not grant you any licence to any recording, composition, artwork or lyric.

Third-party services

Where Veery connects to a third-party service (SoundCloud, lyrics providers, metadata providers, podcast feeds), that content belongs to its owners and is delivered under that service's terms, which you also have to follow. Artwork, titles and lyrics fetched from those services are shown for identification, and are not ours.

Claiming an infringement

If you own a copyright and believe something in the Veery product or on https://northlanestudio.dev infringes it, write to [email protected] with:

  1. your name, address and a way to reach you;
  2. identification of the work you say is infringed;
  3. identification of exactly what you say infringes it, with a URL or a precise location;
  4. a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law;
  5. a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for them;
  6. your physical or electronic signature.

That is the format required by the US DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), and it is also what we need to act under any other jurisdiction. We answer valid notices within 5 business days, and we act on them: removing the material, disabling the feature, or where the report is about a user account, suspending it.

Counter-notice. If you believe your material was removed by mistake, write to the same address with the same identification, the material and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Repeat infringers. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Trade marks

"Veery" and "Northlane Studio", and their logos, are ours. Third-party names and logos shown in the app (SoundCloud, Discord, Last.fm and any other) belong to their owners and appear only to say which service a feature talks to. We claim no affiliation with, or endorsement by, any of them.
