This policy is about this website, northlanestudio.dev — the marketing site for Northlane Studio and its software.
The Solaris app, the Solaris account and Solaris's paid features are covered by their own, much longer privacy policy, shown inside the app and at the Solaris Privacy Policy. This page does not deal with any of that.
Northlane Studio ("Northlane Studio", "we", "us") is an independent software studio and is responsible for the data described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
The short version
- This is a static website. There are no accounts, no login, and no forms — "contact" is a link that opens your own email app.
- We run no analytics, set no tracking cookies, show no ads, and load no trackers, pixels or tag managers.
- The only things touched are ordinary server logs, one language setting saved in your browser, and — if you choose to email us — that email.
- We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we do not use anything here to train a model.
1. What the website collects
1.1 Server logs
Like almost every website, the server records each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page, and your browser's user-agent string. These logs keep the site online, help us fix broken links, and let us notice abuse or attacks. They are kept for about 30 days and then rotated out. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
1.2 Your browser's local storage
If you switch the site between English and Spanish, that choice is saved in your browser under a single key, northlane.lang. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us. It is not a cookie and there is nothing to consent to. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
1.3 What there isn't
No contact form, no newsletter sign-up, no comment section, no shopping cart, no accounts. There is nothing on this site that asks you to type personal information.
2. Third parties involved in loading the page
Two services are needed to deliver the site. That is the complete list.

There is no analytics provider, no A/B-testing tool, no social media widget and no advertising network anywhere on this site.
3. If you email us
The contact links open your own email program addressed to [email protected]. If you write, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. That mailbox is hosted by Google (Gmail). We keep the thread for as long as we need to deal with your message and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up, then delete it. We will not add you to any mailing list.
4. What we never do
- Sell or rent your personal data.
- Show advertising, or share data with advertisers.
- Track you across other websites, or build a profile of you.
- Use anything collected here to train machine-learning models.
5. How long we keep things
- Server logs: about 30 days.
- Email you send us: as described in section 3.
- Language setting: in your browser until you clear it.
6. Your rights
Because the site itself stores almost nothing tied to you, a request will usually concern a server log entry or an email thread. Write to [email protected] to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We reply within 30 days, free of charge.
- European Union / EEA / United Kingdom: you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
- California: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
7. Children
This website is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their personal data.
8. Where data is processed
The website is served from a virtual server rented from DigitalOcean, LLC, a company based in the United States, and passes through Cloudflare's global network. Email is handled by Google. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, this means your data may be processed outside your country; where required, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for a while. Earlier versions remain available on request.
